Les choumeys et la femme
La Choumey ou lampe à beurre représente l'éclaircissement et la femme qui sourit doucement est peut-être une manifestation de cette sagesse intérieur. Toutes deux dissipent les ténèbres et par concequent illuminent les environs.

Le photographe Marcel Mueller qui a pris cette photo à l'intérieur du temple de Jokhang, raconte, que c'est ce sourire attira son regard. A cet instant, la pièce sembla s'éclairer, ajutant à la vive lumiere des choumeys et il sentit une douce chaleur l'en vahir, malgré le vent froid qui soufflait l'en provenance des plateaux tibétains.

Choumey or the butter lamp represents enlightenment and the woman smiling softly nearby is maybe a manifestation of that wisdom that comes from within. Both dispelling darkness and thereby illuminating the surroundings.

Photographer Marcel Mueller, who took this picture inside the Jokhang temple, said she caught his eye with that smiled. For that instance, the room seemed to brighten up, adding to the illumination of the choumeys and he felt warm inside, despite the cold wind blowing in from the Tibetan plateau
