Kusang Tsering vous présentera différents styles de peinture Thangka traditionnelle illustrant la vie de Bouddha, d'autres deïtés ou de grands Lamas. Dans les foyers tibétains, les oeuvres sont suspendues dans la chambre de prière; la complexité de l'enchevêtrement pictural favorise l'intériorité et la connection de l'esprit avec le sacré. Chaque artiste Thangka propose une oeuvre originale et illustre son interprétation de la déïté de façon personnelle.
Kusang Tsering est né en Inde et diplômé en Administration. Il s'est joint à Norbulingka (norbulingka.org) en 2006 et a occupé le poste de curateur dans la région de Thangka, où il s'est intéressé à la peinture locale.

Thangka painting, is an intricate and traditional Tibetan artform, depicting Buddhist dieties, life of Buddha and other high Lamas. In Tibetan household they are generally hung in prayer rooms to aid in connecting with particular deities. There are many kinds of Thangka and Kusang Tsering will speak about a few.
Kusang Tsering was born in India and graduated in buisness studies. He joined Norbulingka (norbulingka.org) in 2006, and eventually worked as a curator in the Thangka sector. During his stay there, Kusang garnered deep knowledge of every aspect of Thangka. He is particularly appreciative of the uniqueness each Thangka artist brings into his canvas which is a personal interpretation of the deities.
